Alignerr is seeking aBack End Developer to design, build, and optimize server-side systems powering AI products. You’ll work on data pipelines, model-serving infrastructure, and scalable microservices to handle real-world traffic at scale.

This fully remote, flexible contract role offers autonomy to tackle meaningful projects and contribute to AI-adjacent infrastructure, collaborating with a global team of engineers and researchers.

Qualifications

• Back-end experience with server-side design and deployment.
• Experience building scalable APIs and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud services and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI training/inference workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code following best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams across time zones.
• Troubleshoot production issues, review code, contribute to architecture decisions.
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments.
