Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a senior C++ Engineer to design, optimize, and scale high-performance systems that power AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows. You will build backend services and tooling for large-scale data annotation and quality control, while improving reliability and performance across C++ codebases.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of production-grade C++, deep knowledge of computer architecture, SIMD intrinsics, and lock-free programming.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production-grade C++ experience, with modern standards (C++17/20).
• Deep knowledge of computer architecture, SIMD intrinsics, and cache coherency.
• Expertise in lock-free programming and maximizing parallelism with threading libraries.
• Strong full-stack development background within systems programming.
• Native or fluent English communication skills.
• Availability to commit 20–40 hours per week consistently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop backend services and full-stack tooling for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across existing C++ codebases.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and edge cases in data and system behavior with scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows.
• Participate in synchronous design reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions.
