Omilia is seeking a Senior C/C++ Engineer to join its product engineering team. You will build and maintain performance-critical systems software that underpins Omilia's conversational AI infrastructure, with a path to deep telephony specialization.

The role emphasizes strong systems programming, multithreading, and experience with Asterisk-like stacks; mentorship from SIP experts, and opportunities to contribute across engineering and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional C/C++ systems programming experience.
• Experience with Git and C/C++ build systems (CMake or Meson).
• Hands-on experience modifying, compiling, and deploying Asterisk.
• Experience writing APIs / Web Services & Microservices in C/C++.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and support of performance-critical C/C++ components.
• Address scalability and performance issues in telephony and SIP systems.
• Develop high-availability, low-latency applications.
• Debug multi-threaded issues using gdb/Valgrind/strace.
• Collaborate across engineering and cross-functional teams.
