Job summary

GEDIA Georgia is seeking a Senior Buyer to shape strategic purchasing for automotive components and services. You will develop sourcing strategies, lead supplier selections, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reductions across North America in collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Quality, and Operations.

The role requires 5–7 years in automotive procurement, a bachelor's degree, and strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain experience in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for automotive components, materials, tooling, equipment, and services.
• Lead supplier sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluation, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements to improve profitability and mitigate supply risks.
• Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and service levels.
• Support new product launches by participating in APQP, PPAP, engineering changes, and program implementation.
