Volm Companies in Antigo, WI is seeking a Senior Buyer to mentor the procurement team and manage sourcing of materials and services from domestic suppliers, aligning with company policies and risk management strategies.

This role requires deep experience in supply chain management, contract review, negotiations, and supplier onboarding, with responsibility for cost savings, MRP data analysis, and cross-location coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years purchasing, domestic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and strategic procurement.

Responsabilités

• Mentor senior buyers and procurement staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Review MRP data, process purchase orders, and manage acknowledgments and follow-ups.
• Maintain supplier contracts and optimize system setup for efficient ordering.
• Capture and report cost savings through bids and negotiations.
• Lead sourcing for new product development, obtain quotes, and set up items in database.
• Source products, evaluate new suppliers, and ensure necessary documentation (COI, indemnification).
• Resolve quality issues through root-cause analysis and secure replacements or credits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align customer, planning, and ledger codes.
