Job summary

Nabors Industries, a leading energy services company, is seeking a Senior Buyer/Buyer II to secure materials and services essential to field operations and commitments. You will partner with suppliers and internal teams to optimize total cost of ownership, ensure on-time delivery, and drive procurement excellence.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in purchasing or sourcing, experience negotiating with suppliers, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or supply chain management systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Source materials and services that support customer commitments, operational requirements and business objectives.
• Evaluate suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms to maximize value and optimize TCO.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and supply continuity.
• Monitor market conditions and supplier performance to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Review and analyze purchase requisitions to validate specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders through fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Resolve PO, invoicing, and supplier-related issues to minimize disruptions.
• Expedite critical orders and address supply challenges impacting customer or business needs.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics, sales, and field teams to support customer requirements and project timelines.
• Partner with freight forwarders and logistics providers to coordinate shipments and ensure efficient material movement.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing procurement expertise, supply chain insights, and recommendations.
• Contribute to supply chain initiatives that improve cost, efficiency, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.
• Support the implementation of procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in strategic projects and process improvement efforts that enhance operational effectiveness.
