Job summary

BI Incorporated, based in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a Senior Buyer to strategically manage suppliers and procurement activities to support manufacturing and operations. You will lead negotiations, drive cost savings, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services, collaborating across functions.

Required are 5+ years in supply chain or procurement, strong negotiation and contract knowledge, and proficiency with MRP systems and ERP tools.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Five+ years in supply chain, procurement, or related area; manufacturing experience preferred.
CPM / APICS certification preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for global markets.
Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts.
Strong knowledge of MS Office and procurement software.
Extensive knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems; Syteline ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

Strategically manages supplier base to ensure accurate lead times for parts and components.
Negotiate pricing and terms; procure materials, equipment, supplies and services.
Prepare, issue and evaluate RFP/RFI bids and provide supplier recommendations.
Monitor vendor compliance with PO terms and conditions.
Coordinate with other departments to meet scope, schedule and best value.
Lead supplier quarterly business reviews and provide data on quality, delivery and cost.
