Job summary

D‑Wave Quantum Inc. is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Supply Chain team in New Haven, CT. You will support R&D Engineering and Production to ensure materials are available for building and improving quantum computing systems.

Responsibilities include end-to-end procurement, supplier negotiations, and risk management, with a focus on cost, quality, and delivery performance in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing in high-tech or complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience independently managing suppliers and procurement activities.
• Strong negotiation and commercial decision-making with a track record of cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned commodities, components, equipment, and services.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, lead time, and supply continuity.
• Lead RFQ/RFP activities, supplier evaluations, bid analysis, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to support prototype builds, NPI, and production requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
