Job summary

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Pittsburgh Cheswick location. The role covers end-to-end procurement of high-value materials, supplier selection, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, planning and engineering to meet program schedules.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing; knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and strong negotiation skills; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field and 5–7 years purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of contract terms and conditions; government procurement experience preferred.
• ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle ERP; proficient with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Executes end-to-end procurement activities for high-value materials and services.
• Negotiates and administers complex purchase orders and supplier agreements.
• Issues POs, change orders, and RFQs with compliance to regulations and policies.
• Drives supplier selection and conducts supplier site visits.
• Manages supplier relationships, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Collaborates with manufacturing, planning, and engineering to align with schedules.
• Drives cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintains procurement records and resolves invoice discrepancies.
