Job summary

ElectroCraft, Inc. seeks an experienced Buyer to support procurement of components, raw materials, and services for small motor production. You will source quality materials, negotiate contracts, and assure on-time delivery to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities include creating POs, expediting orders, tracking supplier performance, and collaborating with Engineering on new releases and prototypes to ensure material availability within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 10 years purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Procure components, raw materials, and services for small motor production.
• Negotiate contracts and establish supplier relationships.
• Create and release purchase orders; expedite as needed.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics (delivery, quality).
• Collaborate with Engineering on new releases and prototype materials.
• Optimize purchasing with AX and related tools.
• Manage lead times, costs, and open PO due dates.
• Support root-cause analysis for material discrepancies.
• Lead supplier meetings and cross-functional sourcing discussions.
