Biofire is seeking a Senior Buyer in Colorado to own material readiness for a portfolio of production parts as we scale manufacturing. You will identify constraints early, maintain inventory health, and navigate supplier challenges to keep production moving.

You will partner with Production Control, Engineering, and Finance to support CTB reviews, manage supplier risk, and help scale planning tools for reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or operational field (e.g. Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering).
• An MBA, Master’s in Supply Chain or APICS CPIM Certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in production purchasing, buying, supply planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of product lifecycles, BOM development, and how upstream planning impacts downstream execution.
• Strong spreadsheet and planning-tool skills, including reliable formulas and data validation.
• Sound judgment when prioritizing competing supply issues, balancing inventory and transition costs.
• Ability to communicate and build strong relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders.
• Self-starter mindset - able to build from scratch and deliver results.

Responsabilités

• Own supply planning and purchasing for your portfolio, maintaining material availability and inventory within MIN/MAX levels.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, lead times, and supplier commitments.
• Lead CTB tracking and support weekly executive reviews with visibility into constraints and financial exposure.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and capacity trends; coordinate corrective-action handoffs.
• Anticipate supplier risks as production scales and prioritize issues.
• Coordinate part transitions and last-time buys with Engineering and Production Control.
• Request volume pricing ahead of production ramps and track price variance.
• Strengthen planning tools and documented processes with cross-coverage.
