Job summary

Samsung HME America in Danvers, MA is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to manage the Master Production Schedule and procurement of materials for complex imaging systems. You will coordinate with receiving, warehouse, production and engineering to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory.

The role requires ERP proficiency (Great Plains, SAP), MS Office, and five years of planning experience in medical devices.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a Planner/Buyer position in a medium or larger sized organization preferred.
• Experience in medical equipment or similarly complex devices preferred.
• Experience in managing electromechanical components supply needed for complex capital systems.
• ISO, FDA, CMDR Awareness Training and Product Complaint System.

Responsibilities

• Procure supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for the operation of the organization
• Monitor and assure delivery and inventory performance objectives are met or exceeded.
• Review requisitions, contact vendors, and examine quotes for accuracy.
• Expedite items/supplies as necessary to meet company demands
• Interface with receiving, warehouse, production, engineering, shipping, and accounting to resolve any supply, quality, or logistic problems associated with purchase items.
• Utilize MRP system to minimize manual planning requirements and leverage current system capabilities
• Resolve supplier problems associated with over shipments, shortages, discrepancies, or obsolete materials and scrap
• Monitor approval status of purchase orders and regularly report part shortages to affected persons.
• Assist in the regular review of the supplier base for delivery performance, quality performance, and cost reduction performance.
• Attend and complete all required training and certification exams.
• Maintain adequate knowledge of products supported in order to better support end users.
