Job summary

Ventaris Surgical is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to own sourcing and material execution end-to-end as we scale from clinical builds to commercial production. You will manage RFQs, supplier onboarding, POs, lead times, and inventory, reporting to the VP of Operations in a hands-on, high-ownership role within a small team.

You will build and maintain supplier lists, run dual-sourcing for critical items, and ensure FDA QMSR/ISO 13485 purchasing controls are followed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in purchasing, planning, or sourcing in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device preferred).
• Experience sourcing and onboarding new suppliers from scratch, not just managing an existing base.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and discuss BOMs with suppliers and R&D.

Responsibilities

• Own RFQs, supplier onboarding, purchase orders, lead times, and inventory management.
• Maintain item masters, BOM data, and ERP data integrity; ensure data accuracy across systems.
• Track material availability, shortages, and at‑risk parts on a weekly cadence; provide clear build views.
