Box Partners, Llc is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to manage inventory and day-to-day purchasing for growing distribution operations and production activities in a fully in-office role in Elgin, IL. The role collaborates with the Inventory Purchasing Manager to implement inventory best practices and meet internal and customer needs.

The position emphasizes hands-on purchasing, analytics, and process management in a fast-paced environment with potential career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing inventory with analytics
• Experience in distribution and supply chain processes
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or finance preferred or related degree with experience

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze inventory levels with warehouse and accounting staff on inventory administration.
• Maintain and build relationships with vendors and distribution management.
• Partner with Strategic Sourcing Specialists and Category Management to resolve vendor issues and changes.
• Manage the purchase order life-cycle end-to-end.
• Coordinate the flow of materials and products through the supply chain across departments.
• Purchase across multiple locations and categories.
• Maintain correct inventory levels based on procurement metrics.
• Follow up on late POs and update our internal customers.
• Resolve backorders and item maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
