Job summary

Porex, based in Fairburn, GA, is seeking a Sr. Buyer to lead direct material procurement at our manufacturing plant. The role is integral to the Operations team and reports to the site's S&OP Leader.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with MRP, supplier management, and inventory optimization within a high-volume environment, collaborating closely with operations and commercial managers to meet service levels and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of supply chain and purchasing experience.
• Procurement certifications such as APICS CSCP CPSM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials.
• Review demand signals, supplier lead times, and minimum order quantities.
• Coordinate with operations and commercial managers on service levels and inventory plans.
• Support inventory optimization efforts and procurement strategies to improve cash flow.
• Identify and analyze supply chain risks and communicate availability issues.
• Assist with MRO purchases when needed.
