Qualifications

• 7+ years in supply chain operations (manufacturing)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with front-line operations management and cross-functional teams
• Sourcing contract administration and negotiation experience preferred
• Lean principles experience are a plus

Responsibilities

• Senior Buyer of Mechanical Commodities and supplier management including objectives and performance monitoring
• Manage suppliers to achieve lowest in place cost for Boyd and its customers
• Develop supply chain programs to improve inventory turns and reduce stock-outs
• Prepare commodity strategies to reduce supplier base and manage risks
• Support NPDE by sourcing components that meet engineering specs and negotiating prices
• Prepare supplier agreements and lead negotiations for assigned commodities
• Develop and maintain Preferred Suppliers lists and execute plans
• Monitor key metrics: supplier quality, service, and cost while ensuring supplier safety and integrity
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Operations to support project groups
• Communicate activity effectively with suppliers and internal customers
