Job summary

Shellback Semiconductor Technology, LLC is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage procurement for materials, support fulfillment of orders, and drive supplier development. The role reports to the Director of Operations and requires a strong business acumen and negotiation skills.

This position partners with Operations to lower inventory costs, improve lead times, and optimize the supplier portfolio through performance reviews and strategic sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 11+ years experience in a similar role.
• Senior-level procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and supplier development skills.

Responsibilities

• Track current inventory levels and adjust safety stock as needed.
• Develop and maintain a minimum reorder point.
• Use Excel/SharePoint to analyze data and drive decisions on inventory and suppliers.
• Process return material authorizations and related documentation.
• Develop a supplier base to reduce risk from sole sourcing.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers; negotiate pricing.
• Visit suppliers to review performance and pricing relations.
• Maintain a vendor scorecard based on delivery, quality, and pricing.
• Develop PPV metrics and drive cost improvements.
• Build expertise on supplier products and compare sources.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervision.
