Job summary

Fralock, an engineered solutions provider in Fremont, CA, seeks a Buyer III to oversee purchasing activities supporting production and operations. You will manage suppliers, monitor performance, and maintain ERP/MRP data to ensure timely material availability.

The role requires reviewing queues, placing POs, following up on orders, resolving shortages, and collaborating with Planning, Quality, Shipping, and AP to keep material flowing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to review, process, and track purchase orders and supplier performance.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems; advanced Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review purchasing queue and place PO with approved suppliers.
• Monitor open POs and communicate shortages or delays.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms within guidelines.
• Collaborate with Quality, Shipping, AP to resolve issues.
• Maintain supplier data in M2M and update lead times.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
