Job summary

Fralock is seeking a Buyer II to join our Poway site. This role purchases materials, tracks supplier deliveries, and maintains ERP/MRP data to ensure on-time material availability for production.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in purchasing, strong data accuracy, and excellent supplier communication skills. Onsite position with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k with company match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1–3 years of related purchasing, procurement, materials, supply chain, or administrative experience.
• Experience processing purchase orders, following up with suppliers, monitoring deliveries, and supporting purchasing‑related transactions.
• Experience reviewing supplier information, inventory levels, lead times, and purchasing data.

Responsibilities

• Review the purchasing queue and initiate, prepare, process, and verify purchase orders with approved suppliers based on production requirements, inventory levels, lead times, and established purchasing procedures.
• Monitor and follow up on open purchase orders to support required delivery dates and communicate potential shortages or issues to stakeholders.
• Work directly with suppliers to resolve delivery, pricing, quantity, and other PO discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Quality to address non-conforming materials and supplier-related quality issues.
• Coordinate supplier returns with Shipping and ensures Accounts Payable is notified of returns, credits, or other purchasing-related adjustments.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in M2M and ERP systems; update supplier information and lead times.
• Partner with Planning, Production, Quality, Shipping, and AP to resolve purchasing and material-related issues.
• Support efforts to improve purchasing processes, data accuracy, supplier communication, and overall efficiency.
