Job summary

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Senior Specialist in Troy, OH. You will join the Transportation and Cost Planning team to manage procurement, forecasting, and supplier operations for battery recycling and circular economy initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading BEV/HEV battery procurement, core parts management, and audits for regulatory compliance. Strong negotiation and forecasting skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain/business.
• 4–6 years procurement or SCM experience, automotive parts preferred.
• Strong forecasting, negotiations, and supplier management experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and SCM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement for BEV and hybrid battery packs and recycling.
• Manage core parts inventory, logistics, and dealer core credits.
• Forecast demand and issue purchase orders for batteries and remanufactured parts.
• Oversee third-party recycling contracts and regulatory documentation.
• Track KPIs, analyze variances, and drive continuous improvement.
