Job summary

Orange EV, a leader in electric vehicle technology, seeks a Senior Buyer/Planner to drive purchasing strategy and supplier relations in a fast-growing manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with Engineering on NPI, manage MRP-driven purchasing, and mentor the procurement team to ensure on-time production and optimal costs.

The role emphasizes negotiating LTAs, optimizing inventory, and building robust supplier partnerships to support Orange EV’s growth in the EV space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or a related field plus 7 years of procurement experience or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
• Advanced knowledge of negotiation techniques.
• Demonstrated project, process, and people leadership skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with BI reporting tools (PowerBI, Fabric, SQL or similar).

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase components including electrical parts, motors and MRO items to support operations.
• Run MRP and use MPS data to develop purchasing plans, issue POs and manage shortages.
• Partner with Engineering on NPI to source prototype components for rapid iterations.
• Identify and mitigate supplier risk to maintain delivery in challenging environments.
• Mentor less-experienced procurement team members in analysis and decisions.
• Negotiate long-term LTAs, volume discounts and payment terms.
• Monitor safety stock and minimize excess inventory via scheduled POs.
