Job summary

PARPRO Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer for our Santa Ana, CA site. This on-site role focuses on purchasing materials and components to support production schedules, with close collaboration across production, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure material availability.

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in EMS/contract manufacturing purchasing, strong ERP/MRP understanding (Epicor preferred), and proven negotiation skills to drive cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in contract manufacturing or EMS environment is required.
• 3-5 years purchasing experience with electronic components, PCB fabrication, and metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and supplier negotiations; contract management experience preferred.
• Experience with eProcurement platforms and VMI programs is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret product structures, BOMs, drawings, and Gerber files.
• Proven ability to negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and supplier agreements while driving cost improvements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and components needed to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Obtain quotes, create and manage purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers.
• Track deliveries and help resolve supply issues.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality and finance to ensure materials availability.
• Maintain purchasing records and monitor supplier performance.
• Support inventory management and identify cost- and efficiency-improvement opportunities.
