Job summary

PARPRO Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer for our Santa Ana, CA site. This on-site role focuses on purchasing materials and components to support production schedules, with close collaboration across production, engineering, quality, and finance to ensure material availability.

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in EMS/contract manufacturing purchasing, strong ERP/MRP understanding (Epicor preferred), and proven negotiation skills to drive cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in contract manufacturing or EMS environment is required.
• 3-5 years purchasing experience with electronic components, PCB fabrication, and metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and supplier negotiations; contract management experience preferred.
• Experience with eProcurement platforms and VMI programs is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret product structures, BOMs, drawings, and Gerber files.
• Proven ability to negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and supplier agreements while driving cost improvements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Buyer position based in Santa Ana, CA, reporting to the Materials Manager. The Buyer is responsible for purchasing materials and components needed to support production schedules and customer requirements. Key duties include obtaining quotes, creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and helping resolve supply issues. The Buyer works closely with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate purchasing records, monitoring supplier performance, supporting inventory management, and identifying opportunities to improve costs and efficiency within the purchasing process.

Qualifications/Skills

• Previous experience in a contract manufacturing or EMS environment required
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience with electronic components, PCB fabrication, and metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
