Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a seasoned Buyer to drive end-to-end procurement, manage POs, and mitigate supply risks in a highly regulated environment. You will optimize ERP/MRP data, collaborate with internal teams, and support BOM cost reductions to boost gross margin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience (aerospace, robotics, electronics preferred).
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and procurement best practices.
• Experience sourcing electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors), mechanical parts, or aerospace materials.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience in drone, UAV, aerospace, or high-tech hardware industries.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations or aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
• Knowledge of global sourcing and international logistics.
• APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Manage Purchase Orders end-to-end to support customer orders and company revenue targets.
• Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure supply continuity; manage PO release, delivery commit, receipts and discrepancies, invoice approval, and supplier corrective actions.
• Improve ERP system accuracy and expand capabilities for world-class MRP for in-house manufacturing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on supply chain strategies and provide data for Clear-to-Build reports.
• Analyze procurement data and report on metrics like on-time delivery and vendor performance.
• Support development of key planning metrics and reports including Safety Stock Analysis and Inventory Health.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and support cost, quality, delivery, and inventory improvements.
• Ensure materials at right time and cost; manage critical components for prototypes and production.
