Job summary

Skydio, Inc. in Hayward, CA is seeking a senior Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for drones, docks, and future products in a highly regulated environment.

You will secure critical components, optimize POs, and partner with engineering and manufacturing to keep prototypes and production on schedule. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in procurement/supply chain, strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), and excellent negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• 8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience (aerospace, robotics, or electronics preferred).
• Experience sourcing electronic components, mechanical parts, or aerospace materials.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations or aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
• Knowledge of global sourcing and international logistics.
• APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Purchase Orders to support customer orders and revenue targets.
• Maintain vendor and component information in ERP systems (cost, lead time, MOQ, payment terms).
• Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure supply continuity.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on supply chain strategies and reporting.
• Analyze procurement data and report on on-time delivery and vendor performance.
• Support planning metrics and reports including inventory health and cash flow.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
