Job summary

10x Genomics is seeking a Senior Buyer for a temporary, full-time contract in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on supporting the US procurement team for NPI preproduction and production materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely purchase orders.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in procurement, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with ERP/MRP systems. This is a hybrid role with potential to extend beyond six months, depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelore2s degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of procurement, sourcing, or related experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement for NPI preproduction and production instruments.
• Maintain supplier relationships and primary contact for issues.
• Issue purchase orders timely to meet manufacturing needs.
• Maintain ERP data fields for materials and suppliers.
• Monitor PO statuses and escalate when needed.
• Assist accounting with invoice reconciliation.
• Lead or support RFQ/RFP projects.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
