Job summary

CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO.

You will lead supplier quality processes for space-grade electronics, work with engineering and operations to ensure flow downs and compliance, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions with key suppliers. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 8+ years of aerospace supplier quality experience.

Qualifications

• Eight years of supplier quality experience in aerospace/defense.
• Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, and integrated assemblies.
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation and supplier flow downs.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain supplier quality processes per AS9100 and company QMS.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, operations, and supply chain on supplier flow downs and compliance.
• Maintain approved suppliers with qualification, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers to meet CesiumAstro requirements.
• Drive DFMs with design engineering to enable manufacturability.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Support disposition of nonconformances (rework, scrap, RMA).
• Monitor SCARs and drive supplier corrective actions.
• Track supplier performance metrics and drive strategic supplier development.
• Conduct supplier site audits and source inspections as needed.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
