We are excited to welcome a Senior Buyer. This is a hybrid position (2 days in the office and 3 days remote) based in York or Lancaster, PA, or Ozark, AL.

Position Summary

The Senior Operational Buyer manages procurement of materials, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. This role supports procurement functions, including purchase order management, supplier coordination, and process improvements. The Senior Operational Buyer collaborates closely with internal teams to maintain an efficient supply chain and resolve procurement-related issues.

Overall Objective of Role

Ensure seamless procurement and availability of materials to support manufacturing operations. Maintain supply continuity, optimize inventory, and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance, aligning procurement activities with production needs and ensuring policy and industry compliance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders and managing order confirmations, changes, and expediting deliveries.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Work with internal teams to align procurement with production schedules and inventory needs.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper cost allocation.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier contracts, and ensure compliance.
• Analyze procurement data and provide insights on supplier performance and trends.
• Assist in material planning to ensure optimal inventory levels.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with Drop Shipments and International Procurement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office; Epicor is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost analysis.
