Job summary

STARTEK LIGHTING AMERICA LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead cross-functional supply chain projects, optimize efficiency, and drive cost savings. You will manage procurement, vendor relationships, and stakeholder communications to deliver key supply chain initiatives that align with business goals.

The role requires 5+ years in supply chain operations with emphasis on purchasing, planning, inventory, and warehouse management, plus ERP system proficiency and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 4 years of experience in supply chain operations.
  • 5+ years in purchasing, planning, inventory and warehouse management.
  • Experience in lighting or electrical components is a plus.
  • Strong ERP and warehouse management knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to read pick lists, part numbers and basic drawings.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating cross-functional projects within the supply chain, ensuring efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements. This role manages project timelines, vendor relationships, and stakeholder communications to deliver supply chain initiatives that support business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities with Assisting:
  • Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure schedules are met efficiently
  • Adjust production plans to address changes in demand, supply availability, or capacity.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to read and understand pick lists, part numbers, and basic product drawings
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. May involve exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and temperature changes. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout shift.
