Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic purchasing activities that ensure timely availability of materials and services while delivering the best total value to the business. This role drives supplier performance, cost savings, and supply chain efficiency while partnering with Operations, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Global Sourcing teams to support business objectives and customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and procurement processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across functions in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

Nice to Have

• Aerospace, aviation, MRO, airline, or leasing industry experience.
• Experience with Quantum Control or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and macros.
• Knowledge of Used Serviceable Material (USM) sourcing.
• Familiarity with PW4000, CF6-80C2, CFM56-5/7, or V2500 engine platforms.
• Experience leading strategic sourcing and cost reduction initiatives.
• Understanding of supplier risk management and supply chain compliance.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
