Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing and repair operations meeting safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Own the operational budget / P&L for assigned product lines, driving revenue, margins, and cost control.
• Translate customer demand and forecasts into staffing, scheduling, and capacity plans.
• Drive throughput and readiness to meet production schedules and on-time delivery targets.
• Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Commercial teams to remove barriers and improve performance.
• Monitor KPIs including OTD, schedule attainment, productivity, inventory turns, and labor efficiency.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans related to capacity, material availability, staffing, and commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and root-cause analyses for issues.
• Develop and coach leaders and employees, fostering accountability and engagement.
• Represent operations during customer visits, audits, and leadership reviews.

Chromalloy is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations to lead aerospace manufacturing and repair operations while driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across assigned product lines. This role serves as the link between customer commitments, operational execution, and business performance, translating demand requirements into executable plans that achieve operational and financial objectives.

The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations is accountable for production readiness, capacity utilization, throughput, schedule attainment, on-time delivery, and workforce performance. Working closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Solutions teams, this leader ensures customer commitments are met while continuously improving operational efficiency and profitability.

This position is ideal for a results-oriented leader with strong manufacturing expertise, business acumen, and a proven ability to lead teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead daily manufacturing and repair operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
• Own the operational budget / P&L for assigned product lines, driving revenue execution, margin improvement, cost control / cost reduction, inventory optimization, and overall financial performance.
• Translate customer demand and production forecasts into staffing, scheduling, and capacity plans.
• Drive throughput and operational readiness to achieve production schedules and on-time delivery targets.
• Partner with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Commercial teams to remove barriers and improve performance.
• Monitor key metrics including OTD, schedule attainment, productivity, inventory turns, labor efficiency, and COPQ.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans related to capacity, material availability, staffing, and customer commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and capacity.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, delivery, and productivity issues.
• Develop and coach leaders and employees while fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Represent operations during customer visits, audits, business reviews, and leadership presentations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 7+ years of leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing, aerospace MRO, or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success leading production operations and delivering results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, labor management, and operational excellence principles.
• Experience using KPIs and data-driven decision making to improve performance.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute complex operational priorities.
• Financial acumen, including budget management, productivity improvement, and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing supervisors, leaders, and production teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience.
• Knowledge of FAA and AS9100 quality systems.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
• Experience supporting growth, transformation, or operational improvement initiatives.

Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
