Position Summary

The Senior Buyer, acting within established procedural and fiduciary guidelines, performs a variety of independent financial, negotiating, and computer-based tasks related to the purchase of cost-effective and value-added supplies, equipment, and services. Produces complex cost analysis, evaluates contract offerings for price and quality, and assists with capital equipment acquisitions. Monitors contract utilization, supports strategic programs and projects, maintains effective partnerships with distributors and manufacturers, and negotiates non-GPO contracts.

Primary Position Responsibilities

1. Contract management.
2. Information management support.
3. Manages recalls and product failures.
4. Ensures invoices are paid correctly and on time.
5. Trains and coordinates volunteers.
