Inthis role, you will be responsible for overseeing the staff that providesadvanced software support, technical assistance, and the development ofinternal management systems.
The warehouse exists to deliver data services to thebusiness and its clients: enhanced reporting and analytics, custom datadeliveries, system connectivity, and artificial intelligence (AI) use cases. Thisrole owns the roadmap bringing these services to market.
This role is part of the Business Systems Job Function.They are responsible for working with internal partners and
business units to develop, install and enhance new andcurrent systems.
WhatYou'll Do
- Own the business roadmap for the IA&RSnowflake Data Warehouse: its design, expansion and continued evolution. Setthe direction and delivery priorities; the D&T Snowflake team owns theengineering build.
- Define and deliver the warehouse’s dataservices, including enhanced reporting and analytics, custom data deliveries,system connectivity, and AI use cases.
- Lead business requirements analysis acrossIA&R stakeholders. Capture, challenge and prioritize data and reportingneeds.
- Translate business requirements into cleartechnical specifications for D&T, and act as the single point of contactbetween business users and technical delivery.
- Plan and run functional and user acceptancetesting (UAT) for new and changed data models, pipelines and reportingdatasets.
- Lead business change management for datainitiatives, covering stakeholder communication, adoption planning and releasecoordination.
- Partner with the Data Governance and Data Qualityteams so warehouse data stays well defined, documented and trusted.
- Own technical and business documentation for thewarehouse: data models, source-to-target mappings, definitions and processflows.
- Design and deliver business training on thewarehouse, its data and the connected platforms.
- Provide market analysis and business consultancyto the business and its clients, including support for AI initiatives.
- Set the delivery priorities and quality standardsfor the warehouse, and coordinate the work across teams needed to meet them.
- Work in a global, Agile delivery model,coordinating across time zones and partner teams.
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitorthe training and development of staff. Conduct performance
evaluations andcoaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's dailyactivities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines.Mentor and coach as needed.
- Respond to and resolve complex technical andsystem issues within a variety of software packages. Resolve
escalatedquestions and problems within the department. Document issues, resolutions, orother actions using
an incidentmanagement system.
- Assist the team with the installation of complexsystem migrations. This also includes new clients, system
implementations,and upgrades.
- Ensure that all supported systems are followingestablished best practices, regulatory requirements, CAPP, and
internal andexternal controls.
- Identify process and system improvements andimplement solutions. Spearheaded internally driven projects to
increaseefficiency and customer satisfaction. Recommend executing functionaloperational programs and
procedures.
- Communicate ongoing feedback on team, project,and department impact of projects. Create team and client[1]facing training for systemoverviews, changes, and new system deliveries.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, owndiscipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to
achieve team anddepartmental objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that areconsistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a
different pointof view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve technical and operationalproblems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impactacross the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes,and standards within the job discipline
What You'llNeed

- Bachelor’s degree in data, finance, informationsystems, or computer science; in lieu of a degree, a combination of
- experience and education will be considered.
- 5+ years’ experience leading data warehouse orbusiness intelligence delivery, ideally in real estate, investment managementor financial services.
- Strong working knowledge of Snowflake and moderncloud data platforms.
- Strong business analysis skills: gatheringrequirements, writing specifications and running UAT.
- A track record of managing stakeholders across bothbusiness and technology functions.
- People leadership experience, including settingpriorities and developing team members.
- Confident written and spoken communication,including at the executive level and with clients.
- Experience working in global teams and in anAgile delivery model.
- Hands-on SQL and data modelling, includingdimensional models and Snowflake dynamic tables.
- Familiarity with Yardi Voyager as a sourcesystem, or other real estate enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with data governance and dataquality tooling such as Collibra and Soda.
- Understanding of investment accounting, fund orasset reporting and real estate data.
- Experience enabling AI and advanced analyticsuse cases.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection,training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising,
and rewardingperformance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive,complicated, and difficult information, convey performance
expectations andhandle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team toachieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline,
multiple jobdisciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advancedinquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculatecomplicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other
financial-relatedcalculations.
CBRE carefullyconsiders multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’seducation, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000annually and the maximum salary for this position is $140,000 annually. Thecompensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on thecandidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates willalso be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefitprogram.
