Job summary

About The Role

As a CBRE Controller, you will lead multiple real estate accounting teams to provide accurate and timely client reporting for assigned portfolios of CBRE clients and properties. What You'll Do
  • Lead a global training team responsible for developing and delivering training programs that support employee onboarding, performance, and professional development.
  • Design, facilitate, and coordinate departmental training sessions to ensure employees have the knowledge and resources needed to be successful in their roles.
  • Manage a specialized support team responsible for resolving complex operational issues, setting priorities, assigning work, and ensuring timely resolution of requests.
  • Analyze and price scope of service changes from team managers, and prices additional services based on the knowledge of the department's pricing platform. Identifies and recommends consulting opportunities to managers, market leaders, and/or clients.
  • Create pricing estimates for new business opportunities. Ensures monthly pricing allocations are accurately entered into PeopleSoft.
  • Function as a single point of contact for a market and/or Strategic Account Client.
  • Assist Senior Management with implementation of strategic department and corporate initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot called out issues and ensures all customer requests are handled timely, accurately and with a focus on customer service. Creates a positive customer experience by opening and maintaining constructive and reliable lines of communication.
  • Participate and/or lead all aspects of internal and external property and client transitions. Works with other internal teams in handling special requirements as defined in the Management Agreement and scope of services in the Financial Services Agreement.
  • Verifiy and ensure accounting team's debt, real estate tax, sales tax and owner distribution payments are made timely and internal databases are updated and maintained accordingly.
  • Review staff work product, including financial packages, to ensure its complete, accurate and timely release to internal departments and external clients.
  • Provide formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
  • Solve sophisticated problems and look after a variety of options in sophisticated situations. Requires authority level analytical and quantitative skills with shown experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi‑industry sales environment.
  • Make decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department goals. Errors in judgment may cause long‑term impact to co‑workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
  • Comprehend and analyze, and interprets the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to most critical issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on sophisticated topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to empower and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Controller position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Controller position is $130,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
