Job summary

Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to bridge business stakeholders and IT, ensuring tech solutions align with operations and enterprise priorities.

The role focuses on requirements gathering, process improvement, and lifecycle management of core applications, with a strong emphasis on AI-enabled use cases and responsible innovation. You will partner with cross-functional teams, lead demonstrations, and support solution design and deployment across Dynamics 365

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information services, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Sr. BSA position.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Microsoft Visio; experience with Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices and Azure DevOps.
• Ability to translate business needs to functional/technical requirements and explain tech concepts to non-tech stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with process owners, stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, scope, backlog, priorities, and escalation paths for system projects.
• Analyze current/future state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Elicit, document, validate, and manage requirements across business domains.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and architects on solution design and release readiness.
• Prepare analysis and delivery docs: BRDs, use cases, data flows, UAT plans.
• Deliver demonstrations and PoCs to validate requirements and value.
• Provide second-level support and analyze issues for assigned systems.
• Coordinate testing, QA, and UAT with test plans and results.
• Use Agile and Azure DevOps to manage backlogs and sprints.
