Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States seeks an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong healthcare payer domain expertise. You will translate complex payer requirements into clear functional specs across Claims, Enrollment, Membership, Benefits, Provider, and Billing.

Collaborate with business users and technical teams, validate requirements, perform impact analysis, and support UAT while ensuring HIPAA compliance and EDI knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Systems Analyst in healthcare payer domains (Claims, Enrollment, Membership, Benefits, Provider, Billing).
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications, system requirements, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and EDI transactions (834, 837, 835) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document business and system requirements across healthcare payer domains (Claims, Enrollment, Membership, Benefits, Provider, Billing).
• Collaborate with business users, SMEs and technical teams to understand end-to-end workflows and processes.
• Translate business needs into functional specs, system requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Support design discussions by validating requirements, identifying gaps, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Perform impact analysis for changes across upstream and downstream systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
• Support UAT planning and execution, including test scenario creation, defect triage, and validation of fixes.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (HIPAA, 834/837/835).
• Work with data, integration, and QA teams to clarify requirements and delivery readiness.
