MFS Investment Management seeks a Senior Business Strategist to define, execute, and monitor long-term business strategy for Global Institutional and non-US retail markets. You will integrate strategic planning with advanced analytics and AI capabilities to drive growth and elevate decision-making.

In this role, you will partner with Global Distribution leadership, manage strategic roadmaps, and translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business management, or analytics.
• Experience within asset management, financial services, or related industries strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of global asset management with focus on institutional and non-US retail distribution models.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of enterprise initiatives.

THE ROLE

The Senior Business Strategist partners with Global Distribution leadership to define, execute, and monitor long-term business strategy. This role integrates strategic planning, business management, and advanced analytics (including AI/GenAI) to drive growth, improve performance, and enhance decision-making with a focus on Global Institutional and Non-US retail. The position serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating data into actionable insights and ensuring effective execution of key initiatives across Global institutional and non-US retail markets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Business Strategy & Planning

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute global distribution strategies aligned with enterprise priorities.
• Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning, including growth initiatives.
• Conduct analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and trends.
• Develop strategic recommendations and executive-level presentations for leadership forums.
• Support cross-functional initiatives including operating model optimization, product strategy, and distribution effectiveness.

Business Management & Execution

• Monitor progress against strategic objectives and provide actionable insights and course corrections.
• Partner with business leaders to prioritize initiatives and manage strategic roadmaps.
• Establish reporting frameworks that provide clear, actionable performance insights.
• Ensure alignment, accountability, and transparency across global teams.

Advanced Analytics & Data-Driven Insights

• Leverage internal and external data to analyze sales, market share, and client segments.
• Design and implement analytics use cases and framework working with the business stakeholders and advanced analytics team.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into strategic recommendations.
• Partner with business stakeholders, GDS, and data science and automation team to build scalable analytics and AI/GenAI capabilities.
• Drive adoption of analytics tools and promote a data-driven culture.
• Continuously enhance analytics capabilities to improve efficiency and outcomes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8-12+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business management, or analytics.
• Experience within asset management, financial services, or related industries strongly preferred.

Base Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $218,500.00 This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

At MFS, we believe in fair and transparent compensation. For that reason, we're including the salary range for this position. This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensation based on both individual and company performance. Other components of our Total Rewards Package include:

• MFS contributes an amount equal to 15% of your base salary to your retirement account that is separate from the company-sponsored 401(k)
• Education Assistance: MFS contributes $100 monthly up to $10,000 lifetime maximum directly to loan provider
