MFS Investment Management in Boston is seeking a Senior Business Strategist to partner with Global Distribution leadership to shape long-term strategy and drive growth. You will integrate strategic planning, analytics, and AI/GenAI to inform decisions across institutional and non-US retail markets.

The Senior Business Strategist partners with Global Distribution leadership to define, execute, and monitor long-term business strategy. This role integrates strategic planning, business management, and advanced analytics (including AI/GenAI) to drive growth, improve performance, and enhance decision‑making with a focus on Global Institutional and Non-US retail. The position serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating data into actionable insights and ensuring effective execution of key initiatives across Global institutional and non-US retail markets.
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute global distribution strategies aligned with enterprise priorities.
Lead annual and multi-year strategic planning, including growth initiatives.
Conduct analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and trends.
Develop strategic recommendations and executive‑level presentations for leadership forums.
Support cross‑functional initiatives including operating model optimization, product strategy, and distribution effectiveness.
Monitor progress against strategic objectives and provide actionable insights and course corrections.
Partner with business leaders to prioritize initiatives and manage strategic roadmaps.
Establish reporting frameworks that provide clear, actionable performance insights.
Ensure alignment, accountability, and transparency across global teams.
Leverage internal and external data to analyze sales, market share, and client segments.
Design and implement analytics use cases and framework working with the business stakeholders and advanced analytics team.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate insights into strategic recommendations.
Partner with business stakeholders, GDS, and data science and automation team to build scalable analytics and AI/GenAI capabilities.
Drive adoption of analytics tools and promote a data‑driven culture.
Continuously enhance analytics capabilities to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 8-12+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business management, or analytics. Experience within asset management, financial services, or related industries strongly preferred. Strong understanding of global asset management (with a focus on institutional and non-US retail, distribution models and investment products. Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of enterprise initiatives.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Experience with advanced analytics, AI/GenAI, and business intelligence tools. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities. Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, global environment. High degree of intellectual curiosity and continuous improvement mindset. Collaborative approach with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics. Data‑driven decision‑maker who turns insights into action. $145,000.00 - $218,500.00
Base Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $218,500.00
This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.
