Job summary

Corner Alliance is seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist with 7+ years of professional experience to support our Federal government client. The role focuses on evaluating policies, processes, and business operations solutions under the Staff Director, in a hybrid Washington, DC area setting.

You will engage with senior government leaders and contractors, manage multiple concurrent workstreams, and help deliver, grow, and thrive within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant professional experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced federal environment.
  • Ability to translate requirements into structured work plans, workflows, tracking mechanisms, and repeatable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of division priorities, goals, requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct market research to maximize impact and minimize costs; manage deadlines and outcomes.
  • Develop and coordinate support staffing plans and standard operating procedures office-wide.
  • Manage and reconcile meeting/engagement expenditures; integrate data into ROI metrics and lessons learned.
  • Support workforce development and training initiatives.
  • Provide oversight of records and knowledge management processes.
  • Analyze program output data and interpret division accomplishments and impacts.
  • Identify program strengths and weaknesses and support knowledge management initiatives.

About the Role:

As an Operations Support Specialist supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to support all activities and efforts related to business operations managed and executed by the Staff Director. In this role you will support the evaluation, analysis, strategy, and development of policies, processes, and recommended business operations solutions.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Supporting the development and execution of division priorities, goals, requirements, and objectives
  • Conducting market research to maximize impact and minimize costs; manage deadlines and promote desired outcomes
  • Developing and coordinating support staffing plan; recommended efficiencies; process flows and standard operating procedures office-wide
  • Managing and reconciling meeting/engagement expenditures; integratedata into ROI metrics analysis and lessons learned
  • Supporting workforce development and training initiatives
  • Providing oversight, management and development of records management and knowledge management processes
  • Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of program output data and information associated with Division accomplishments and measurable impacts
  • Assisting with the identification of programmatic strengths and weaknesses
  • Supporting the creation and development of the clients’ knowledge management initiative

Location:

You will work as part of a hybrid team in the Washington, DC metro area.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • ABachelor’sdegree and 7 years of relevant professional experience or
    • AMaster’s Degreeand 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experiencewith cross-functional team collaboration
  • Experience managing quick-turn requirements, tasks, and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced federal environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute complex assignments under tight timelines, shifting priorities, and limited resources.
  • Ability to translate formal requirements or ambiguous direction into structured work plans, workflows, tracking mechanisms, and repeatable processes that reduce duplication and improve efficiency.
  • Experience engaging with senior government leaders, contractors, and external stakeholders across meetings, briefings, and day-to-day coordination settings.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and provide proposals and recommendations on content, processes, and initiatives undertaken by the federal staff
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Previousexperience supporting the Department of Homeland Security
  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum style project management
  • Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, Atlassian Tools (JIRA)

Salary:
