Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of underwriting principles and cash flow analysis.
• Familiarity with liquidity, leverage, coverage and operating ratios.
• Proficient in Excel and financial software; knowledge of SBA procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes business loan applicants' financial status, credit, and business to determine feasibility of granting credit including loan approval.
• Reviews and analyzes loan applications to ensure that necessary documents have been received and validates the data.
• Determines credit-worthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and ratios using NFCU guidelines and regulations.
• Proposes deal structures and covenants appropriate to risk level for approved deals.
• Presents loan package and recommendation to senior lending management for loans above authority.
• Underwrites SBA and participation loans and supports compliance and monthly reporting.
