Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an experienced Business Law Associate Attorney in Columbus, OH to advise and represent clients in corporate, commercial, and transactional matters. The role emphasizes contract drafting, negotiation, and preparation of corporate documents, with duties spanning client relations, due diligence, and closings.

The ideal candidate holds a JD from an accredited law school, active Ohio Bar status, and at least four years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the Ohio Bar in good standing.
• Minimum four years of experience in business, transactional, or corporate law.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent legal research, writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate business and commercial agreements.
• Assist with business formations, organizational matters, and corporate governance.
• Prepare legal memoranda and correspondence.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Prepare corporate documents, resolutions, and related materials.
• Conduct due diligence and assist with transaction closings.
• Advise clients on contractual and general business matters.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
• Manage assigned matters and deadlines with increasing independence.
