Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Specialist provides support for business intelligence activities including development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of intelligence solutions with an emphasis on increasing company efficiency and minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and performance reports to provide actionable insights across business functions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders from various departments to define business questions, build analytical solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting to support ongoing business initiatives, leadership requests, and operational improvements.
  • Automate recurring processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce manual efforts, and support scalable analytics practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting outputs, identifying and resolving anomalies or inconsistencies through proactive troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and manage large datasets across multiple sources.
  • Hands-on experience with Python (preferred) or R, leveraging data science libraries and scripting to automate tasks, perform statistical analysis, and enhance data workflows.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including the development of interactive dashboards, data models, DAX calculations, and enterprise-level reporting solutions.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel, with fluency in pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, and VBA automation for dynamic reporting.

Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, or data related field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering insights and business value using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, and Excel.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
