Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced healthcare analytics professional to develop and deliver advanced reporting and analytics solutions for ambulatory clinics. You will lead design and optimization of clinical informatics systems, craft complex SQL queries, and build dashboards with Tableau and CDW/Clarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a healthcare-related organization.
• Minimum 5+ years in data architecture with strong SQL programming (MS T-SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL).
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or related area, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient understanding of clinical workflows, data integration and mining, and clinical ontologies.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading teams and projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to clinical users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational analytics program lifecycle from initiation to deployment.
• Lead project teams and provide metrics for management decision-making.
• Produce monthly Tableau dashboards covering KPI metrics and trends.

• Develop and deliver advanced reporting and analytics solutions supporting ambulatory clinic efficiency, financial viability, performance optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of clinical informatics systems and solve complex technical problems.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Design, develop, and functionally test reports and dashboards using CDW/Clarity, Data Marts, Tableau, and other BI tools.
• Monitor and improve report performance; perform quality assurance testing and document system changes.
• Track operational metrics, perform sensitivity analysis, and assess physician, department, and location attributes at summary and drill-down levels.
• Provide subject-matter expertise, technical support, and troubleshooting in clinical informatics.
• Collaborate with business, technical, and clinical leaders to develop integrated clinical informatics systems and architecture.
• Manage the operational analytics program lifecycle from initiation through deployment.
• Lead project teams and provide metrics and analytics for management decision-making.
• Calculate physician productivity and produce the PSRA Summary Report.
• Produce monthly Tableau dashboards covering referral leakage, KPI metrics, new patient lag days, exam room utilization, and financial and operational trends.
• Gather data and reporting requirements from managers, directors, finance, and other stakeholders.
• Guide end-users and team members in using published reports and resolve reporting problems.
• Provide ongoing user training and deliver training curricula.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a healthcare-related organization.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data architecture with strong SQL programming skills (MS T-SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL).
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare information technology, computer science, or a related area, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Proficient understanding of controlled terminology, clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies, and adoption of technology in healthcare settings.
• Advanced organizational and project management skills, including leading teams, prioritizing tasks, and managing projects from inception to completion.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for conveying technical information to clinical users, providing technical support and developing and delivering training materials.
• Advanced problem-resolution skills for diagnosing complex issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Expertise in analytics, documentation, and reporting, including metrics, query design and execution, performance data analysis, and sophisticated management reports.
• Proven ability to serve as a technical leader and information resource across departments.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Tableau.
• Preferred experience with Python, Databricks, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Git.
• Final accepted candidate must disclose qualifying misconduct-related administrative or judicial decisions or appeals within the last seven years.
