Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior BI analytics professional to design and deliver impactful analytics solutions for healthcare clients. You will craft complex dashboards, data extracts, and visualizations that drive strategic decisions and performance monitoring.

The role requires collaboration with clinical, administrative, and operational stakeholders, and advancing analytics maturity across descriptive to prescriptive analytics. A strong data governance mindset is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Technical certifications (Tableau) strongly preferred.
• aCAP or vendor-neutral analytics certification preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with analytics tools and SQL/database languages.

Job description

• Provide advanced technical expertise in business intelligence and analytics toolsets


• Create information-based business intelligence deliverables supporting critical business decisions


• Develop complex data extracts, data integrations, reports, and advanced dashboard visualizations


• Develop and enhance metrics for ongoing performance analysis


• Understand customer problems and objectives and design appropriate analytics solutions


• Procure and integrate disparate data sources


• Implement and support analytics solutions for ongoing utilization


• Troubleshoot complex technical problems


• Serve as a senior technical advisor, mentor, educator, and trainer to BI analysts and the broader analytics community


• Analyze and integrate disparate data sources for ETL into an enterprise data warehouse


• Advise, support, and train Analytics Team members


• Collaborate with customers and subject matter experts across clinical, administrative, and operational areas


• Design, develop, and implement analytics tools supporting operational, strategic, and tactical metrics


• Help advance the organization’s analytics maturity across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics


• Collaborate on data architecture strategy, implementation planning, and customer-delivered toolsets


• Participate in the Data Governance Program


• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports and visualizations for executives and clients


• Detect and resolve data anomalies and champion emerging analytics technologies and techniques


• Support data model, quality, integrity, and validity analysis through issue resolution


• Continue developing analytics expertise to support healthcare industry leadership


• Support curriculum development and train new analytics professionals


• Adhere to patient, staff, and visitor safety policies and organizational standards


• Promote professional growth and development and serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff


• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, data science, business administration, statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience required


• Master’s degree highly preferred


• Technical certifications in relevant applications strongly preferred, such as Tableau


• Associate Certified Analytics Professional (aCAP) or another vendor-neutral analytics certification preferred


• Advanced proficiency with one or more relevant analytics tools required, including database/query languages, visualization, data preparation/transformation, statistical, or data science tools


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Pivot tables, VBA, Macros, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access, required


• Minimum of 5 years professional experience collaborating with customers on the design, creation, and execution of analytics deliverables


• Minimum of 5 years professional experience building complex self-service analytic reports, dashboards, and/or tools supporting decision-making and actionable metric monitoring


• Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, matrixed organization with executive exposure

• Ability to exert influence without authority by interpreting requirements and guiding customers toward desired analytics outcomes
