Overview

As a Senior Business Intelligence Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building Origami's analytics function from the ground up. You will focus on managing, analyzing, and reporting corporate data to support strategic decision-making.

Starting base pay for this role is between $122,000 and $145,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).

Responsibilities

• Architects and develops a complete data analytics solution.
• Develops, manages, and optimizes BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.
• Works with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and translates them to technical designs.
• Analyzes data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Ensures data accuracy and integrity.
• Develops and maintains documentation of data sources, models, and processes.
• Provides training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
• Collaborates with Cloud Operations and other departments to integrate data from various sources, such as Salesforce CRM, Sage Intacct ERP, etc.
• Stays current with BI industry trends and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• 7+ years proven experience as a BI Analyst, BI Developer, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of database management, data warehousing, and data integration.
• Experience building data warehouses on cloud infrastructure from the ground up.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with other query languages.
• Experience with BI tools such as Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present insights.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
