Job summary

Fragomen is seeking a Senior Business Immigration Associate who will lead complex immigration matters, build client relationships, and advise on strategy. This role requires practicing U.S. immigration law with robust knowledge and a track record of client service excellence.

The successful candidate will manage teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across Partners to deliver exceptional outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work arrangement available in the office locally.

Qualifications

• Requires a U.S. JD or LLM.
• Member of a U.S. state bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 5–8 years of Associate-level experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law.
• Prior team management experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to exceptional client service.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in client accounts and Partners.
• Formulate immigration strategies for complex matters and present concise arguments.
• Engage with clients at middle and senior management levels, offering counsel.
• Serve as a business advisor with knowledge of immigration law and industry context.
• Lead and mentor Associates and staff, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Improve processes, quality, and efficiency within the team and firm systems.
• Support proposals, pitches, and business development efforts.
• Identify growth opportunities within the client base.
