About The Project
Klika Tech is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to win new customers among silicon manufacturing, automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and related industrial and transit manufacturers. You will sell connectivity solutions, manufacturing automation technologies, and Amazon Sidewalk capabilities, and work to get our partners' silicon designed into customers' next products. Most of the job is opening new accounts. You will start conversations with companies we don't work with yet, navigate long, technical sales cycles, and turn early design wins into a pipeline worth several million dollars. You will work closely with AEs, Product Management, and Sales Ops. You will have direct influence on how fast the business grows in these markets.
YOUR ROLE
- Find, approach, and win new OEM and Tier-1 accounts in automotive and near-automotive manufacturing;
- Sell connectivity solutions, manufacturing automation technologies, and silicon to both engineering and purchasing teams;
- Run the full sales cycle: first outreach, qualification, technical discussions, proposal, negotiation, and closing;
- Win design-ins and socket placements by working closely with customers’ engineering leaders on silicon architecture and design requirements;
- Show customers in concrete terms what our technology does for their products, their operations, and their costs;
- Work with AEs, Product Management, and Sales Ops to prepare technical proposals and close deals;
- Build a reliable new-business pipeline and report on it clearly;
- Travel to customer sites and industry events (up to 25-30% of your time).
Requirements
- 7+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales focused on new business, including long, complex sales cycles from cold outreach to signed contract, with a record of exceeding targets in technology markets;
- Established network of decision-makers in the automotive industry (OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers), or in industrial and transit manufacturing;
- Experience selling embedded firmware for wireless (RF) connectivity (e.g., BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa);
- Track record with factory automation, edge silicon, or industrial IoT solutions sold into manufacturing companies;
- Enough technical depth to discuss silicon architectures and the design-in process with engineering teams at socket level;
- Ability to translate complex hardware and connectivity topics between customers and technical staff and to present them as measurable business results;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Willingness to travel up to 25-30%.
NICE TO HAVE
- Sales or business development experience at Amazon/AWS, another major cloud provider, or a semiconductor partner, ideally including familiarity with Amazon Sidewalk;
- A background in Electrical Engineering, embedded systems, semiconductor design, or an AE role;
- Hands-on knowledge of IoT wireless product development, gateway devices, and battery/power optimization;
- A track record of bringing a new connectivity protocol, hardware standard, or product line to established industrial markets.
