Job Summary

In partnership with other members of the Executive Education team, this position will support marketing and business development initiatives to grow the portfolio of clients who attend or refer others to our in-person and online leadership development programs.

Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participate in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

Essential Functions

Marketing (40%):

  • Collaborate with the team to create a strategic marketing/communications calendar to promote Executive Education programs to target markets.
  • Develop an understanding of various buyer profiles.
  • Design and write copy for email, social media, and print collateral that aligns with buyer interests in alignment with Smith Executive Education brand standards.
  • Update department website accordingly in partnership with team members.

Business Development (40%):

  • Conduct research on prospective clients in target markets. Identify points of contact within organizations based on buyer profiles.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective clients and set up introductory meetings for team members.
  • Maintain database of prospective clients and pipeline of opportunities in Salesforce.

Administrative (20%):

  • Respond to inbound inquiries and refer to appropriate team members.
  • Monitor office phone line/voicemail and refer callers to appropriate team members.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on the Exec Ed mission, values, plans for growth, and current programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses):

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in marketing, business development, or administrative functions within a business setting.
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoom.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an environment with constantly changing needs.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva and InDesign.
  • Experience using Salesforce and Pardot.
