Job summary

Software Resources, Inc. is hiring a Senior Data Analyst – LFI, Data Governance in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires 4 days on site with Fridays remote, focusing on data governance and regulatory reporting for LFI status.

You will develop and maintain reporting solutions, analyze large datasets, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with FR YY reporting requirements. leadership to juniors is included.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Data Analytics & Data Management or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Intermediate-Advanced experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience with regulatory reporting or banking is preferred.
• Understanding of Reg YY and related reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using SQL to query data and build/maintain dashboards and reporting tools.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on large datasets to identify trends and provide data-based recommendations.
• Translate business questions into analytical tasks and present findings to senior management.
• Design and implement systems for data accuracy and reliability; collaborate with IT to improve data infrastructure.
• Lead development for LFI Regulatory Reporting changes per FRB requirements.
• Perform UAT testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Mentor junior staff and the team.

Software Resources has an immediate, direct hire job opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst -- LFI, Data Governance with a major corporation in Phoenix, AZ. 4 days per week onsite, Fridays remote.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

As a Senior Data Analyst -- LFI, Data Governance, you''''’ll play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You''''’ll develop, maintain, improve reporting solutions, analyze large data sets, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. One of your key responsibilities is to ensure that data analysis needs by the business are met while operating within data governance requirements. You will deliver and communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to your assigned business line. You should also be familiar with Reg YY and related reporting regulations (such as FR 2052a, FR Y-14, and FR Y-15), and work with a team focused on developing, testing, and executing regulatory reporting data for LFI status.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Using SQL tool for querying and analyzing data, lead the design, build, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key business performance metrics while upholding data and reporting standards, ensuring consistency and compliance across all projects worked on. Identify and develop automation techniques from available technology to produce efficient and effective processes.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and provide data-based recommendations to help drive operational improvements and strategy.
• Understand business unit reporting and analytical needs and translate business questions into analytical tasks that help drive strategic decisions. Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Design and implement systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability by performing thorough validation and quality checks. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility.
• Development of business requirements, as needed for the LFI Regulatory Reporting, specifically to incorporate changes as required by FRB regulations for a Category III institution.
• Problem solve regarding requirements, defects, or data validation.
• Perform UAT test (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
• Take leadership role to develop and assist junior staff and the team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• 5 years of experience in Data Analytics & Data Management or similar field.
• Bachelor''''''''''''''''s degree in related field required.
• Intermediate - Advanced experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) then presenting findings from large datasets in a clear, actionable way.
• Experience with increasing responsibility in regulatory reporting or other areas at a bank is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Reg YY and other related regulatory reporting is preferred
• Experience with project management and managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Experience with predictive modeling, statistical analysis, or machine learning preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
