Support Large Financial Institution (LFI) status by gathering, analyzing, and reporting key business data for FRB regulatory readiness in a hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Develop business requirements to support LFI readiness aligned with FRB regulations for a Category IV institution
- Provide input into Technology deliverables to support successful implementation
- Execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to confirm accuracy and integrity of data
- Participate in workshops to resolve requirements, defects, and questions
- Apply knowledge of client rules including FR 2052a, FR Y-14, and FR Y-15 to update business requirements as regulations change
- Ensure all reports delivered to internal stakeholders are accurate and delivered on time
- Update and optimize reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and relevance as needed
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
- Validate data and perform regular data quality checks to maintain accuracy and integrity
- Partner across business teams to gather data requirements and understand analytical needs
- Maintain documentation for data sourcing processes and methodologies
- Build data visualizations to effectively communicate key metrics and insights
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a similar role
- 2+ years experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with proficiency working with large datasets
- Experience with project management and managing multiple priorities and deliverables
- Willingness to learn applicable regulatory regulations with significant effort learning Reg YY (including FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15)
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services
- Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, and relevant industry standards and practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced written and verbal communication skills
